Paladin Paladin is a job-ready freeze protection kit for pipe and roof and gutter applications. Paladin can be used with EDGE-CUTTER channel flashings or solely in the conventional serpentine configuration. Paladin may also be used in downspouts and gutters as it is wet location approved. Available up to 240 feet in length; 5 watts per foot at 50°F. Cut-to-Length Cut-to-Length heating cables can be tailored to length and terminated in the field. Cut-to-Length is approved for roof and gutter de-icing when used with Heat-Line power connection and termination control kits. Cut-to-Length heaters can be used in conjunction with Heat-Line EDGE-CUTTER channel flashings or in the conventional serpentine configuration. Available on 1000 foot reels or cut to specification; 3, 5, 8 or 10 watts per foot at 50°F. EDGE-CUTTER EDGE-CUTTER channel flashings combined with self-regulating heating cables are designed to prevent ice build-up, icicles, or ice dams on the roof edge using only a single run of heater. Each 4 foot aluminium flashing is feathered and has a channel to accommodate the self-regulating heating cable. The flashing is installed under the leading roof edge using screws, nails, or adhesives. The Paladin system or Heat-Line Cut-to-Length self-regulating heating cable is then installed within the channel with a cap securing it in place.
